Something Big is Coming to Morris Plains!

We are excited to announce that Morris Plains has been selected as the location for NJ TRANSIT’s 2026 TRANSITional Art Project. The program is based on the idea that art is essential to the overall transportation experience. It was created to integrate artwork into the architectural design of transit facilities, forming inspirational places that improve the riding experience for customers and enhance the beauty of public spaces within communities.

Downtown Morris Plains has partnered with Transit Arts to bring this opportunity to Morris Plains as a way to help celebrate the borough's centennial, and will collaborate with NJ TRANSIT, the borough council and local stakeholders to help facilitate the project. This project will help showcase Morris Plains and add to the borough’s upcoming centennial celebrations. We will share more details as they become available!
